Moon Cakes and Hosting

Traditionally moon cakes does not mix well with web hosting.  But I guess not so here in Singapore.   Hungry Ghost Festival is going to pass in a day or two, coming next is the Moon Cake Festival where we normally receive tons of different types of mooncakes from vendors.   So much so that I think I can say our company tasted every single famous mooncake vendors in Singapore already.

But when it comes to the types, we won’t dare to say so.   Traditional lotus paste mooncakes is becoming near extinct with the new favors introduced by the boutique cake shops of the hotels.   Chocolate mooncakes, bird nest mooncakes, you name it, they have it.   There was quite some hoo haa over gold leaf mooncakes but I feel it is such a waste eating the gold foil, rather keep the gold instead.  Tasteless anyway.

Wondering what will be in stock for us this Moon Cake Festival :) .   History or rather Legend has it that it was Zhu Yuan Zhang, the first Emperor of the Ming dynasty who invented mooncakes, when he used them to send encoded messages to his followers to revolt on the 15th of August (Lunar Calender) when the Moon was at the fullest.   Anyway, whatever Ming Emperor or Chang Er, we are now more concentrated into the eating of mooncakes.
