44th National Day for Singapore
Monday, August 10th, 2009Just a little game for our 44th National Day. In ancient China, there is a game among scholars called “Zhe Zi”, to split the words and explain the meanings. To take the Forty Four Anniversary, 44, we can do one simple Zhe Zi. 44 in Cantonese means “Die Die” or to get it at whatever situation. 4 add 4 = 8, which is Cantonese or Pu Tong Hua Chinese means “Fa” or Prosperity. Die Die Prosper means no matter what we will Prosper, a good and auspicious meaning for us with a severe economic recession in our midst. May be be the first to get out of it and go back to Prosperity.
