Complicated Password
Monday, February 1st, 2010We had a client who set a very complicated password for his email. So much so that he has to use a notebook to record it down because it is too long and complicated.
It is obvious that when we told him that his email account was compromised and was being used to send spams and scams that he totally do not believe. But we showed him how. While it is true that his password is complicated, so much so that brute force password breaking is hard to work. His computer was not patched or maintained properly. Hackers attacked and penetrated his computer. Once this is done, they installed key loggers etc. No matter how complicated your password, you are then at the mercy of the hackers.
