Had received an email from a domain registrar that they received a complaint regarding a client who only registered the domain through us, hosting is done by another company. The client’s domain hosting seemed suspended for god knows what reason. Registrar told us he complaint that he could not reach us.

I asked my staff to check our email logs and phone logs. No entries, the phones are manned during the standard working hours and were far from saturated, no reason that anyone could not call through.

Further investigation found that the domain client lost his domain password. For that he would just need to email in and we can trigger the password to be sent to him. But we did not receive any email requests.

I told the domain registrar that we do not accept the complaint, if he indeed need his domain password, there are enough venues and enough communication channels to get it from us. The domain registrar agreed. It is kinda of strange that if it was so urgent, why not drop us an email or give us another phone call instead of complaining overseas hoping to get it faster.

In the end it would be far slower as the domain registrar would just convey to him to go back to us for the information. Really a weird way of trying to get things done faster. Instead I guess it will only slow him down even far more.
