Face Book Phishing Scams
Saturday, November 28th, 2009There is a lot of Facebook phishing scams that give you a link to click on so that you can access your Facebook account to “solve” some issues. Never never trust these and never click on the link given. If you are worried, login to facebook on their main url and check your account. Never click on any link in the email.
Once you click on the link, it will redirect you to a totally different web site but with the exact Face Book web site look and interface. The aim is to trick you into logging in at their web site so that they can capture your username and password for malicious activities. It is similar to the Pay Pal and Ebay scams which we received on our mailboxes. On the Internet, it is better to be safe than sorry. If in doubt email Face Book, I repeat never click on such links.
